Well, I wish I could give this more, but poetry's never been my thing, so I'm not really a very good judge about this.
However, ONE THING I can say. I loved it. No, truly. I mean, I loved the way it was written. It was just...beautiful! And I mean... at least it rhymed :P (you know those poems that don't rhyme AND that to top the cake don't even make sense/look good without rhyming?)
I especially liked the last...umm...sorry about that, but I'm not even english, so I don't know how to call it. I mean this:
"But, I'll not be touched again
by the Empress flowers pure,
for Innocence and Wind,
have never shared allure."
It was beautiful.
Oh and I know this is a bit long -- sorry about that -- but I ALWAYS give long reviews. I just can't help it!
Well, it was a good starting chapter. I think maybe you could give a bit of an insight as to what has been happening.
For example, how about flashbacks? How Jamie's husband died, how she felt, (by the way, how old is she? Just curious), how she and Tony met, etc. All those things.
Basically, how they got where they are today. I think it'd be useful, but you don't necessarily have to do it. Even though I'm curious as to how the meeting will be, I'm also curious about the past, you get me?
But that's just my opinion. Great story, anyway ;) I can't wait for the next chapter!
