To anyone who takes the time to sit down and write a letter to a friend, I feel touched by that. All the young soldiers so far from home. I know they are trained, and they feel so grown up, but I can remember when I was that age, younger maybe, heading out from home, and I knew where I was going. My hats off to you Yellow Rose for putting your heart felt experiences into a piece of paper that may mean so very much to someone else. Bless you. You're what I call an angel. Someone always looking out for the heart of the next person. Lois
For this to be an intentionally bad poem, I found it quite delightful. The line Twas a dark and stormy night, was a bit familiar, but you kept it going without boring me. I think you are good at what you do. Writing seems to come so easily to you. I hope there'll be more. I'm not a person who could pull out any thing just for the sake of doing so. However, I do know what I like. Lois
As I read your poem, I've no clue of your age, or what is holding you in the Bubble. I only know that I have a 30 year old son, my first biological grandchild, that my husband and I adopted and have always loved and cared for him. I think if he were to write his feelings down they would go much like this. He had a brain bleed on day 4 of his life that changed everything for the rest of his life. This poem touches me deeply. It brings tears to my eyes because no one should have to live in a bubble, but so many of us do. Lois
