Have you ever read the Communist Manifesto. The main rhetoric of Communism is that everybody should have equality of opportunity and that people can get rich and keep their money as long as they are not suppressing other people on their way to becomoing rich. i.e. they can exploit for their own materialist ends. What happened in the Soviet Union was not proper communism, socialism maybe but not communism and there is definitely a distinction between the two.
You state that the government ruling instead of the people is evidence of Communism in action. America is elitist in the extreme, that is why is why the government is less accountable to the people. Elitism is far from Communism. The probable cause of the 'tyranny of the minority' is that the government is being manipulated by the people who really have the power, the very rich and influential multi national and corporation owners. And you can bet these people are not Communists or socialists, they are profiteers, in it for what they can get.In the US capitalism is very much in operation, this is why there are so many people starving and homeless, and you can guarantee it is the opinion of these people which to the government is not worth a damn. Hence, elitism not communism. Do you think that your governments anti communist indoctrination over the years has clouded your judgement, because you seem awfully against it when in fact pure communism has never been seen throughout the world. The communist regimes which have arisen have inevitably been corrupt, tainted versions of communism not pure communism as preached by its founders. Do you vote? If so can I ask which party you support, Republican is it, or maybe something a little more right of centre?
