This needs to be one of those Facebook quotes everyone passes around. Since I too struggle with these issues, it read like a page from my own notebook. Its not perfect in the sense of rhythm but it still read perfectly. Thank you for putting this out there for others to read and be inspired!

Review of The Cat and the Storm

I love the idea of the cat "storming" in to demand food with his new voice.
There is one little thing I found: "Chico you scared [me] to death,"
There are so many places you would be able to explain further how the character felt, moved, heard their environment but I really liked the story. I bet you have some interesting story ideas. I look forward to reading more.

Some how you found a way to show so much with such few words. This piece provoked my thoughts and intrigued my senses. I was completely able to connect with both characters in that small fraction in time. I sparked so much emotion from beginning to end. Excellent read!

I think this story can bring many people back to those days in our lives when the little things were so big. It had me hooked right from the beginning. The way the words flowed brought the images instantly to life. I didn't really find anything to critique you on but I did learn from reading and critiquing. The double arrows you use for dialog allowed for such a rhythmic flow. Excellent read!

This is a mysterious story to which this seems to be a preview for. I enjoyed it after the first two short paragraphs. In order for me to follow it I needed to read them a couple of times. I understand the woman's thoughts were spinning but so were mine trying to understand it. Half way through, the story got interesting and easier to follow. I like the story and your words are very descriptive, getting the reader right into the boat with her. An exciting and dramatic read.

I really enjoyed this story. The characters are aptly named which made them easy to relate to and the story fun to follow. The dialog was well written with a problem to be solved and how they were going to do it. Although it was only a short story, it intrigued me enough to want to know more. That being said, the moral of the story was well explained and solved in the end. Very nice story with a charming 'cute' factor.
