Thank you for creating this winter Word Search puzzle and tagging me. You know my fondness of them.
Jumping Right In:
I must say you chose a perfect time to highlight the fun and freezing things to do in the winter as most of the country is feeling some colder temps due to an arctic blast.
Also, throwing in images that show the things that can be done when it's cold outside.
Further Thoughts:
Your puzzle consisted of 22 words relating to winter sports or animals that hang out in the world of frost. Nice shot of the kids snow tubing. Looks like lots of fun!
The puzzle was fairly quick to solve but for a couple lost words that finally made their presence known to me.
Observation:
A typo ..."artic" should be "arctic."
Parting Thoughts:
I think you did a great job making this a fun, all be it, cold Word Search puzzle. Hey, it is winter. It's good to remind us that there are fun activities to take part of when the thermostat drops to shivering levels. Of course here in Florida for the winter, life is a little warmer. Although when the temps hit the low sixties --high fifties, the year rounders are bundled up from wool hat to mittens! Even the golf carts are wearing plastic covers to get them to the mailbox without getting a draft.
Conclusion:
Good job, lots of fun ... so glad you created this for my love of the solve!
Until next time--Puzzle on!

This brief description caught my attentions. "A man struggles to become a published author after decades as a maintenance man."
Already I'm tooled with the information that will be uncovered as I read the story. I found that bit of info made me want to read more.
Further Thoughts:
Jerry, a man of deep faith, planned to leave his job six years before full retirement. Clarence was shocked at finding that out. But, Jerry yearned to be writer as his occupation. It's something he has always wanted.
Observations:
You've probably heard of it; the carpentry shop is the title." The Carpentry Shop. You should Capitalize the title.
There were a couple of punctuation errors, but all-in-all, not too bad in that department.
Parting Thoughts:
Jerry was quite a lovable character. His success came later in life. His dream was kept alive through his faith and work with his friend Fr. Carrico at the shelter where he ended up after losing his steady income.
I love how the ending is a satisfying one, although bittersweet because of Jerry's sickness and passing. But, he had something that would last forever ... his published work!
Conclusion:
Good job!

Oh, my, what a beautiful collection of MBs and trinkets you have here! I can see that I have missed some of these and was so happy to be able to be able to collect more of them.
I really enjoyed the animal collection that I have missed previously. You are such a talented person. The great ideas you have, as well as the unique mix of subjects to be turned into a trinket,or a Merit Badge, is quite remarkable.
I'm so happy I saw this advertised on the Newsfeed! I was able to add several more trinkets to my collection.
I came across this item on the Random Read & Review.
Opening Thoughts:
Your title just grabs at the heartstrings. This reader wondered the cause of the solitude. Is it by choice or by tragedy? I had to find out!
Further Thoughts:
The poem brought a bit of sadness as I began to read about the house and its many worn down spots sheltering a lonely soul inside. But, is it really a lonely soul, or a writer stuck on an idea that is trapped deep within the muse? It's open to interpretation of course.
Additional Thoughts:
The descriptions placed within the curious lines of the poem set a beautiful form. Words well chosen to cast away dark shadows and let it the light of reading and writing and solo creativity. Where the books are, is not loneliness. It is enlightenment!
Loved These lines:
"mellow mortal,
singing a siren's song with promises"
"clatter of shutters"
"Cowering in cobwebbed corners, a piece of me"
"Artless arms embracing lofty prayers,"
These are just a few mentions, as the poem in its entirety paints a vivid picture in the mind of a fellow writer, lost within the space of creativity, awaiting the words' appearance onto the pages.
Like an old, worn down home, memories tuck into dark corners looking for a place to be captured on a page.
Parting Thoughts:
I got lost within the lines. It was like going down a rabbit hole and finding yet more stumbling blocks that keep the ever elusive words from being printed. Rather, so many just get tossed aside and started over again.
Conclusion:
Joy, I was mesmerized. It was a poem I thought would bring me sadness. Instead, it is the snapshot of the mind of a writer, and that is always a good spot to be explored.
Alone? I would say alone in one's thoughts, filling in the blank pages, is a writer's space to be filled with dreams.
Wonderful!
Until next time--write on!

Why am I here? I saw your item advertised on the Newsfeed. That's a lovely award accompanying it. Congratulations!
Further Thoughts:
I loved the mellow voice that flows along with some well-placed rhyme to make a point. Yes, a spider does at times beg to be squashed when it shows its little head unexpectedly nearby.
The narrator soon reflects upon what he has done and feels a bit of guilt. After all, it's a creature of God and was doing no harm at the time of its demise.
Suggestion:
A little larger font would be gentler on many a readers' eyes.
Parting Thoughts:
I loved the moral of the story. One must practice kindness or pay the consequences of guilt when the whole story plays out, and an unfair judgment had already been given.
Conclusion:
Nicely done! Well deserving of the fine award!
Until next time--write on!

I'm back! You knew I would be, as you tagged me when this puzzle was created.
First Thoughts:
I felt like making my hair-do bigger, and my makeup heavy. Oh, yeah ... the Eighties!
This of course is one huge song played at all the proms, weddings and parties back in the eighties. One of Foreigner's hit songs I Want To Know What Love Is ... that's the one that sticks in the heads of the young and in love, back then. Misty eyes at a dance when playing, made this a memorable song a high school favorite for sure.
Further Thoughts:
You added the music video --always a good thing for those who come across this Word Search to listen to, either to reminisce or get to know the eighties a bit.
20 words to uncover relating to the lyrics of the song.
Parting Thoughts:
This was fun, and a real trip down memory lane. Not only did I sing along with the tune, I had a great time uncovering the words. It was a relaxing puzzle to do.
Conclusion:
Good job!
Until next time--Puzzle on!

I found this item on the Random Read & Review option.
What I loved:
I loved the picturesque description of Spruce Mountain, West Virginia, ridges, Alleghenies. It opened beautiful views in my mind. It's such a majestic area.
Further Loved:
I loved the crisp lines, perfectly woven, that pull the reader into the moment. You chose your words well to keep it tight leaving the reader with a snapshot of whale-back ridges.
Loving Much More:
"Childlike and innocent Elevates towards the heavens." Excellent description!
Parting Thoughts:
Your poetic muse sparked brightly with this one, Lou. I loved it from start to finish. I also enjoyed the view!
Good job!

I guess you didn't expect me to show up today. How could I not when I was tagged, and you introduced me to another Word Search puzzle that leaps me into February?
My Thoughts:
I like that you're getting a head start into Cupid's busy month, February. Yea, lots of things are about love and chocolate and even Cupid Slam stuff. I hang out there in February with the annual Cupid Slam Bad Poetry month at "The Bard's Hall Contest" .
Further Thoughts:
Your puzzle consisted of 19 words to uncover from the song Total Eclipse of My Heart. You attached the Bonnie Tyler video as well. So awesome! It's still swirling around in my head. Ah, the 80s! Memory lane!
Parting Thoughts:
Great start to the upcoming month of love. I guess a little birdie put that love bug in your ear, eh?
Conclusion:
Great job! As usual, I always appreciate the little extra touches going along with the puzzle. Those videos are aces!
I think I'm wrapping up your December Word Search puzzles. I'll have to double check, but I've been on these as I find them. I want to show my gratitude for your devotion to creating these the whole holidays season long.
Further Thoughts:
This was another relaxing puzzle. It had the video of the song included. That song played in my head while I solved the puzzle. All the words related to the Christmas Carol, First Noel.
Parting Thoughts:
Thank you for keeping my muse, amused last month. You do know what next month is, don't you? Well, besides my birthday, it's Valentine's Day. Perhaps trying to avoid sickly sweet stuff. Anyway, looking forward to what you come up with!
Conclusion:
Good work!

It's hard to believe, but it seems I did not catch all the Word Search puzzles you created in December!
Initial Thoughts:
Now that the holidays are over, I can revisit some of the good times that may have been rushed while taking care of business through the month and especially the holidays. Thank you for keeping me in fun distractions away from all that busyness.
Further Thoughts:
This was a quick and easy puzzle. It didn't hurt my brain at all. I found all the culprits in record time. Sometimes the relaxing puzzles with fewer words kick-start the mind for doing more reviews.
This one consisted of 9 words to uncover, which were names of Santa's 8 Reindeer, plus the addition of Rudolph! (Who could leave him, out! )
Parting Thoughts:
I'm glad I took a look in your portfolio for one or two I may have missed. I do believe there is another one I have not yet solved, so I'll be back again, soon.
Conclusion:
Good job with the puzzle. As I stated, it was quite relaxing on the brain.
Until next time--Puzzle on!

I found your Word Search puzzle in Search by Type, and hit random. I have done many of these over the holidays and was looking for a different subject matter today.
My Thoughts:
The intro was intriguing. "I don’t think this is how word searches work. They’re supposed to be words hidden among letters." That's exactly what this one was. Perhaps you as the creator couldn't see that? I have played lots of them, but have never created one, yet. I'll have to remedy that soon.
Further Thoughts:
I love the Random Words of Randomness! From lizards, to memes, to marshmallows. It was lots of random fun searching for the words.
There are 20 words to uncover, and I managed to find them all. It was a fairly easy puzzle to solve. I find it better to get the smaller words out of the way before they get deeply enmeshed in the bigger words that were already uncovered.
Parting Thoughts:
This was a fun and relaxing puzzle to solve. It was a good break from other chores of the day.
Conclusion:
Good job!
Until next time--Puzzle on!

Review!
I'm also reviewing your entry as a judge at "The Bard's Hall Contest" Thank you for entering December's Holiday/Winter SHAPED-POETRY contest.
Initial Thoughts:
I love the title and brief description. I could feel a traditional Christmas with all the joy and expectations of children as they await Santa's arrival.
Further Thoughts:
You chose a Christmas tree shape for your poem. The shape is beautifully decorated with Christmas colors and with colored bulbs placed strategically within. I love the star on top. That makes the crowning glory of the tree.
Your Poem:
It's a lovely image created by just the right choice of words that make a reader picture the tree and even smell the aroma of a blue spruce. I could picture the presents underneath the tree and the appearance of the children in the morning with their gleeful excitement.
Further Thoughts:
The poem fit perfectly within the shape, had a smooth flow, and packed lots of imagery for the reader to appreciate. It was a joy to read.
Your poem followed the rules of the contest, using a shape that matched well to the poetry inside the shape. The line count was given.
Parting Thoughts:
You did a wonderful job using shape and color along with emoticons that decorate the tree.

Review!
I am also reviewing your entry as a judge at "The Bard's Hall Contest" Thank you for entering our December Holiday Shape-Poetry contest!
What I loved:
I loved the warmth that glows throughout your poem. It made me feel like the days when my kids were young, and their sweet excitement and expectations of Christmas as it drew near.
The shape chosen is a Christmas tree. You did a wonderful job shaping the tree. But mostly, it was what the shape held within.
Your Poem:
I loved the smooth rhythm of the poem that brings out the glee of toys under the tree and a morning that would soon bring joy to the children as they open their presents.
You chose to add color, red as a tree topper on the first word. Green is the color used on the tree outline. The plum accented the tree stand. Wonderful job!
Further Thoughts:
You have followed all the rules, including line count, poem is shaped, and poetry within that relates to the shape.
Parting Thoughts:
This is such a beautiful poem about the joy of Christmas through the eyes of children. They are what makes Christmas extra special. I can still see their faces back when they were sitting on the floor beside the tree, finding their gifts and ripping that paper like little shredders on a mission!
I am reviewing your entry as a judge at "The Bard's Hall Contest" Thank you for entering our December's shape-poetry Holiday Rush, contest.
Initial Thoughts:
The appearance of the beautiful snowflake shape is quite striking. The light blue color framed the shape perfectly. It almost felt icy which of course brings to memory snow-enhanced holidays.
Further Thoughts:
This poetic treat bears a philosophical theme to it. I like the message held within. Avoiding hurting others is a gift to both the bearer and receiver. Too much stress and hurt tears foundations down.
Additional Thoughts:
The poetry itself is a melody. The smooth and distinct sibilant sounds were a pleasure to read, but also to silently whisper while reading it. Great job, there!
Parting Thoughts:
Rules were followed: Line count given.
Poem within a shape.
Theme winter/holiday.
Conclusion:
Beautiful job! I found no place that pauses from the silky flow of the poetic lines.
Until next time--Write on!

Review!
I am also reviewing your entry as a judge at "The Bard's Hall Contest" Thank you for entering our December Holiday Shape-poem contest.
InitialThoughts:
I noticed right away of course that the poem was shaped into a Christmas tree. Your title lets the reader know the poem's theme is about childhood memories of Christmas. Ah, yes! Those memories pop up in my mind this time of year as well.
Further Thoughts:
I love the tone, the imagery produced while reading it, the smoothness and brilliant words chosen to weave these lines into a shape so familiar it sparks the joy and anticipation of Christmas.
Favorite Parts:
"green fir boughs, fragrant balsam scent" This brings the familiar scent of the evergreen right into the mind where the memory of those unforgettable scents live.
PartingThoughts:
The rules were followed. Line count, 16. Shape--Christmas Tree.
Poem within, perfect fit to the shape of the tree and its stand.
I found no spots that interrupted the flow of the poem.
Conclusion:
"joyous childhood memory, I am home once more" Perfect lines to end the poem. This says it all. It brings back glimpses of holiday excitement through the eyes of a child.
The question is, why haven't I been here long ago to give this spectacular list of collected favorites a review?!!
I shall remedy that now!
I am always so MOOved by the many creative tHiNgs I see as I peruse your portfolio. This is a fabulous idea. You have listed so many favorites over the years. You've added to this list each year since 2002! That's a whole lot of years of list upkeep. You do a remarkable job with it, too.
I can truly say again ... so many of YOUR favorites have also been mine over the years. I love seeing the recognition of all these talented writers and creators.
Thanks as well, for the items of mine you've highlighted here. I was really touched by it.
Conclusion:
A great idea this creation of yours. You've brought a lot of smiles to WDC. Thanks for everything you do around these parts.
I got to say ... I like the beat playing in my head while solving this puzzle. And Chuck Berry does make the beat go on. Not to be confused with Sonny and Cher who dance to the rhythm of their own Beat Goes On.
This was a bit more fun for the holiday month of December. You have done a remarkable job keeping them going for me. Now, it will be a shiny New Year! I wonder what will become of that?
Further Thoughts:
This 15 word puzzle was a continuation of Christmas music of all kinds wrapped into your word search medley through out the month. I have really enjoyed taking a break each day to play these puzzles. Okay, well, I may have missed a day or two, but evidently, I am catching up!
Parting Thoughts:
My January may feel like it's missing something. But then, I know I've probably solved more of these Word Search puzzles in the past couple months than ever before!
Conclusion:
Great job! Thanks for the fun!
Until Next Time--Puzzle On!

Review!
Opening Thoughts:
I was perusing your port and came across this heartfelt poem. I was attracted in by the Title and brief description. In my mind, I already knew to expect some heartbreak.
Further Thoughts:
Your Quatrain poetry is smooth as silk with its rhythm and rhyme. But even more captivating are the words describing a time in life where days fly by, and sadness of missing the joy and the sharing of years with those whom have made such a profound impression in your heart. But mostly, what shines through, is the great love you've experienced and all the joys woven within those memories that remain throughout the years.
Parting Thoughts:
My eyes got teary as I read your poem. The truth of time's brutal rush to yet another year is again upon us. Where does the time go?
I found this buried in my Notifications. You've made s many holiday Word Search puzzles, even I haven't caught up with them, yet!
This was so beautiful to listen to. The voices of Pentatonix just penetrate the senses in such a profound way. They are such a talented A Capella group.
Thank you for included the video to enjoy while solving the puzzle.
This puzzle is 17 word puzzle based on "Mary, Did You Know?" It was a smooth and easy-ish puzzle to uncover. There were a couple little trappings of a smaller word within a bigger word that one needs to be attentive to in order to find and shade over again. However, I've learned to love the search for these hidden treasures.
Parting Thoughts:
I have really enjoyed finding your Holiday Word Search puzzles. It's been a fabulous month of celebrating Christmas and the holidays.
Conclusion:
Wonderful!

Well, can you believe the year is almost over? So what do you do to bring on the celebration of a New Year? You make me this Word Search puzzle!
What I like:
I like that you anticipate what I might want in a puzzle to really end out the old year. "Auld Land Syne" video and all!
The Puzzle consisted of 19 words to uncover, related to that song.
Observation:
I did uncover all the words. This has happened another time with someone else's puzzle, but the tile did not turn green when all the words were uncovered. The last word I found was "mine." It turned blue when I highlighted it, but the tile didn't turn green. Oh, the mysteries of life and puzzles, I guess!
Parting Thoughts:
This was a fun and relaxing puzzle (until the last word debacle,) to help bring in the cheer of a New Year. Thank you!
Conclusion:
Good job! Happy 2025!

On this Christmas Day ... I want to send much honor to the spirit of your writing over the years on WDC. You were a beloved member and fantastic writer. Your poetry always deserves a revisit.
This particular poem says a great dela about this community and how it draws writers back home to WDC.
Its simple beauty, lovely flow, and bits of your talent that shine through, perfectly.
I just wanted to spend a moment here in your portfolio after I spotted your poetry on the sidebar of the page as Sponsored item. I got chills seeing yours there. It was only right to visit on this Christmas Day, also first day of Hanukkah!
With admiration for all you've done when you were here ...
Of course the 12 Days of Christmas is stuck in my head. You know something? Years ago when I lived in CA, our family and friend's family went to his cabin up in Ukiah. It's a lovely, rustic place. However, we decided to grab dinner at a well-know Italian restaurant in the are. Since it was Christmastime, they had festive songs and music going on. Music happened to be done by a blind accordion player. She was good. Everyone got to sing along. Of course, this son was playing.
Every time I hear this song, I can't help but think back to that time we spent, with both families of children having a great time.
Naturally, the puzzle contained 12 words related to the song.
This was a lovely, relaxing puzzle.
Thanks for the memories!
Until next time--puzzle on!
Merry Christmas, to you and yours!

I'm so happy you jumped in and created another Word Search for the Holidays! I love your theme of all the different gifts that can be given to friends and loved ones, not only for holiday giving, but for other occasions.
Your Puzzle:
25, wonderful, relaxing words to uncover. I felt like I was receiving the uncovered gift! The wine is definitely a lovely gift for the holidays.
'Tis the season for movies. I watch many of them leading up to Christmas. Many are classic favorites. And yes, Die Hard is a Christmas movie!!!
Parting Thoughts:
This is a delightful, festive puzzle that celebrates the gift of giving. It is what makes the season bright for those who receive them.
Thanks again!
And, Happy Holidays!

Well, you've stood strong throughout December. It's almost Christmas, and I haven't been at a loss for Word Search puzzles. I can thanks you for that!
Jumping In:
This is 14 words puzzle all relating to the classic song "Silver Bells." It's one of my favorites. As usual, I loved the music video attached with the puzzle.
As usual, I was singing along while solving the puzzle. You have kept me in a festive mood throughout the month. These word searches give a little fun-time break from other tedious things to be done during the season. This one was a relaxing one as it didn't require too much time and brain cells to complete. Perhaps I'm just getting really good at this from all the practice I've had.
Great job with the puzzle.
Thanks again!
Happy, happy, Christmas and holidays to you!

I enjoyed humming the Christmas Carol tune in my mind while solving this puzzle.
What I loved:
I loved and do love, frankincense and myrrh. The scents that have been used in incense diffuses at church for years when I was growing up. It's amazing how a scent can take you back to Catholic School days and choir.
The Word Search:
It was a fairly quick solve with words found in the lyrics of We Three Kings. Of course, there was that included link to a music video of the song. *music*
As usual, the larger words were fast and easy. The small ones can hide easily within the tile.
Parting Thoughts:
Another puzzle that brought back memories and joy of youthful times.
Conclusion:
Wonderful!
