What a beautiful, inspirational poem. You have the gift of words.
A pleasure to read. I didn't notice any errors or change a thing.
The second and third stanzas really stood out for me.
Well done.

It's always been a fascination with me as to what folks have for breakfast and/or brunch. Different cultures have different food preferences. When I spent a month in South Korea whilst my son was stationed there, breakfast was so different than what I was used to. I'm speaking of course if we went out for a meal instead of eating in. I think it never really matters what one eats in the morning so long as it is delicious! The brunch in this piece is different, in my book, but in yours probably the norm! I know have an Asian daughter-in-law and her breakfast of champions is so far from my eastern United States _PA_ breakfast. But, I love the diversity! Awesome to learn different cultural norms.

It's been over 35 years since I've been out of school and there are occasions in which I could go back. Friendships were awesome and you miss that when it's all over. I remember summer, though, and I must say we had fantastic summers. Of course I got to spend most of those summers with the same friends, which was a plus. I totally understand, though, by the end of summer you're ready to get back to a routine. However, I say, SLEEP IN while you can, because once school ends for good, forget about it! :P

Thank you for sharing a day in the life ...

Review of MEMORIES  Open in new Window.

Sad. I lost my German Shepherd January 29th of this year (2018), he was 11 and 1/2 years old. I lost my Pomeranian last Wednesday, he was 17 years old. They were the last of my 5 pack. My Pom was the first pup and the last to go. Our pets are our 'kids' just as our children are. At least it should be that way and I know it isn't always the case. I enjoyed the read because it evokes memories in me about my own fur babies. Thank you for sharing.

Truly blessed, sounds like. How lucky you both are.
Although written 4+ years ago, I would hope these
sentiments still ring true. A woman would feel so
good about herself after reading such words.
Praise to you for being uplighting and nurturing.
It could be said that maybe you are her "Blessed prize."

I can relate to the above written words.
I have faith in God and I hope that those
I've loved found him! It's always a question
in my mind, even after decades. However many
questions I may have, occasionally an answer
comes by shooting star or feathered friends.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
