Auld Lang Syne, a poem written in 1788 by Scottish poet Robert Burns. It was later published in 1796. He remarked he jotted down words he "heard an old man singing" and today, this familiar tune is one we use to usher in the new year! It has become a staple of our New Year's Celebration in Times Square in New York City. People travel from all over the world to be a part of this.
