Removing my shoes I wriggle my toes into the warm sand. The wind is angry; it whips my hair which I clasp away, save it fills my face with needles.
The ocean pounds waves against the beach, its fury beating pebbles to sand at the rocky point. Salt spray washes away yesterday’s tears on my cheeks.
Perspective is found here. How big the world is as it circles while we sleep, how big this ocean that comes from everywhere, to here at my tiny feet.
My chapter ending, another beginning, goes unnoticed. I find courage to face another day.
