The Readiness for Reality

Nothing can own a person more
Than the truth of a situation.
So accept reality, if you can,
And receive a standing ovation.
If you’re ready to accept the truth,
Then you must be seeing the light -
Instead of being in the wrong,
You have chosen to be in the right!

When we start to perceive reality
We know that it’s a must.
But when we’re not quite ready
Reality becomes a bust!
Try as we might to reason it through
It doesn’t seem too gainful,
Because the truth can never be
Something to us so painful.

So prepare to be strong and live your life
With the attitude that you’re able
To face the truth and the reality,
That which you find so unstable.
Believe it or not, whatever the case,
You’re simply bent, not broken;
With readiness, you can seize the day,
The greatest words ever spoken!
