A short poem about losing oneself in a relationship.
The last piece of me
went drifting off today
right out your bedroom window
over the urban streets.
I sit now, empty, by your side
wondering what to do now
that the sliver of self
that held me together like a
ragdoll's eye has broken.
There's only one thing
One thing.
I need to catch that strand.

Maybe it wasn't the last piece
of me
after all.
