A poem written and dedicated to a friend that lives across the water.
A lot of this poem happens to be based upon how bored we were with our current lifestyles. We both discovered that we were writers and thought it apt to introduce ourselves to each other in this way. The stigma that we both carry as people is difficult, and so this was a way of consoling ourselves about it.
I also dedicate this one to my supportive family. This is my explaination to them.

TOUCH LIKE STORM

The bars of your lashes, echoing falseness,
Sunsets glow full of promise, Look on inland sea scape.
Ahead a used horizon, An expression that dries on,
that begs for this nigh dawn,
Level sky and level day.

Head full of answers, still light hearted,
a closer reunion, a similar starting,
a point becomes parting, of thoughts that are jarring,
a begging, a pardon, too used to disgrace.

She’s chasing the threshold, trying to let go,
and slips as she beckons, so eager and fond.
A burning with longing, for missing belonging,
she glances at sunrise, Dark Morning so long.
At ease when she’s sleeping, not lost upon weeping,
Over thoughts she is keeping so close to her heart,
Though faith she is losing, She’s far beyond choosing,
Herself a beginning, where she would like to start.

She loses her memory, While talking in tendrils,
her thoughts start to mellow, on what she’d forbid,
with wild apparition, She makes her decision,
to face, without witness, the demons she had hid.
She faces the world with wealth, braver in soul,
Wiser than those peers she’d known,
or at least so she had pretended, while she mended,
to start to befriend and come back to herself.
Now she’s alive, and so satisfied
with the hope she is given to abandon silhouettes,
While still so all-knowing, of where life is going,
she keeps to herself:
“Youth is not without regrets”.

Know where you should wander, The days can run longer,
and it can run off her, her body regained,
Run with wild noises, and make your own choices,
Before sunlight shortens.

Before life is tame.
