Synopsis:

Inside the kingdom of Enussha lives human-like beings called Penna-Auris (a.k.a. feather-eared), also Aurians for short.  PACE, a man who lives on a small island travels to the mainland of Enussha in search of his wife who he had thought had died out at sea years ago. FAY, a young woman who has grown up living only with a giant eagle-like bird travels back to her childhood home to search for the truth of her parents’ death.  PRINCE ROLLESTER, the first son of the King, must travel into the city disguise as a peasant to seek revenge for his father’s murder.  CAIN, a simple bartender on an exotic island travels to the kingdom to confront Prince Rollester and prove that he is the true heir to the throne.

Pace discovers that his long lost wife, who he had lost had died out at sea, is actually alive.  He doesn’t know where she is, but knows she is out there and that he must find her.  Travelling away from his home island, which has never left before, he begins his quest to search for her and bring his love home.

Along the way Pace meets Fay who is also on her personal quest.  She decides to help him along the way since she is an expert of the land.  While travelling Fay and Pace become very close, almost closer than friends, until that is interrupted when Pace discovers that his wife is locked in the palace dungeon.  Pace, along with friends that he made along the way, including Prince Rollester, fight their way through the dungeon to rescue his wife.  Pace’s wife does not remember who is right away because of the memory loss caused by the trauma she went through when she was lost out at sea.  Regardless of her memory loss, she leaves the dungeons with Pace and Prince Rollester and several others to her freedom.

Pace’s wife never regains back her memory of their past together and Pace works on getting his wife fall in love all over again.  Pace asks his wife to return home with him and hopefully to be remarried again one day. As they are preparing to head home, Prince Rollester comes to Pace with a concern where Pace must decide if he will help and fight for the Prince to help take the overthrown kingdom back.

Fay had always been a free spirit and always living with just herself and her companion, which isn’t an Aurian but a giant eagle-like bird called an eages (pronounced egg-es).  Fay’s companion, EGG, had given her the power to communicate with all eages’ as well as giving her the strength and speed of an eages as well. Fay had run away from home when she was a child and her past has begun to haunt her.

While Fay and Egg travel to their new home, dreams of her past continues to invade her thoughts, and they both understand that she needs to confront her past to move on with her life.  When their plans change to head to her childhood village, they are interrupted along the way when they meet Pace.  Fay agrees to assist Pace in the search for his wife and aid him in crossing the dangerous lands by fighting off all the different creatures and bandits that roam among the land of Enussha.

During their journey, Fay and Pace feelings for each other grow and Fay begins to fall in love.  However, their feelings are short lived when they enter Manadue Kingdom and Fay finds out that he almost forgotten older brother is the leader of the rebel group that killed the King.  Fay, unsure of how to adapt to having her brother back in her life does not know how to confront him about finding out about her past and the death of her parents.  All her life she has been haunted by the thought that she was the one responsible for the murder of her parents and several other people in her village.  Now that she is with her brother again she realizes the truth that it was he who had become mad with the thought of power and control, and remembers that he had killed her parents in the process.

Fay hides her true hatred for her brother and works hard to get close to him again and regain his trust.  She allows him to use her and her abilities with the eages to gain even further control of the kingdom.  While manipulating the situation with her brother, she also continues to help Pace his wife as well as assisting Prince Rollester in his mission to bring down her brother and the rest of the rebellion.

The time comes where Fay has her chance to confront her brother one on one and bring his power and control to an end.  She is unsuccessful in her fight and he destroys her almost to death, but decides to let her live and enslaves her. Feeling hopeless and no longer in control Fay can do nothing more but surrender her connection with her eages and give the power of the eages over to her brother.  Using the power of the eages her brother dominates and sieges the palace once and for all.

Prince Rollester was always destined to be king of Enussha since the day he was born.  He never expected that it would happen as soon as it did.  On the night of the kings wedding to his fourth wife while sleeping someone had poisoned the king.  Prince Rollester enraged that his father was murdered suspects that it was his new wife who had in fact killed the king.  As acting king he sends the new queen to the dungeons until he can further decide what to do with the matter at hand.

Prince Rollester discovers that the new queen was involved with a secret rebellious group that has formed in the kingdom.  Prince Rollester decides to take responsibility into his own hands and along with his younger brother they change their appearance and go out into the kingdom to confront and take destroy the rebel group, and find out who is the leader behind it all.

While in disguise, Prince Rollester uses his charm to gain the trust of several of the rebel members, most of all, the rebel leader.  He is asked to join the rebellion against the monarchy and help take control of the palace and the kingdom all together.

Prince Rollester works hard to find out more about the leader and what his plan and motives are in bringing down the monarchy.  While getting to know the leader and his followers several other new comers join the group.  He meets Pace and Fay first and as he gets to know them he knows that they are people he can trust.  When Pace tells Prince Rollester about his quest for his wife and describes everything about her, Prince Rollester realizes that he knows who Pace’s wife is.  Prince Rollester informs Pace that his beloved wife is also the former queen who is at the time locked in the dungeons for the murder of the king.

Prince Rollester agrees to assist Pace in his mission and to release his wife back to him as long as Pace and Fay will assist him in overthrowing the rebellion.  Fay willingly agrees informing the prince of her connection to the leader, and her never changing hatred for him.  Pace, although not too sure of how much help he can be, agrees to assist the prince in anything he wishes as long as he can get his wife back in the end.

While coming up with a plan to take the rebels down, they also continue to play their parts in rebellion to maintain the trust of the leader.  The leader comes to Prince Rollester, Pace, and Fay requesting their assistance in a new mission.  Having no choice but to accept, they leave the kingdom not knowing very much about the mission.  All that they were told is that they were to escort a very important person safely to the kingdom.

When the rebels, including the prince, arrive in the town they meet Cain, who is the important person that the leader was referring to.  Not knowing why he is so important they do their job without question.  The leader, Prince Rollester and Pace fight off several guards that have held Cain captive, while Fay and several other rebels break into the fortress and help Cain escape and bring him to the rebel main house.

Once back in the kingdom Prince Rollester discovers that Cain is so important to the leader because Cain has claimed that he is the true heir to the throne.  Cain proves this by showing both the leader and Prince Rollester the ring that they king had given him and a letter written in the kings’ handwriting.  Prince Rollester is shocked by the news, but knows not to let his emotions show.

Prince Rollester watches day by day as Cain is slowly brainwashed by the leader of the group.  Becoming desperate the prince seeks the help of Pace and Fay and they decide together that it is time to act and bring down the rebels before it gets any worse.

Prince Rollester and Pace, along with a few other helpers sneak back into the palace and Prince Rollester confronts one of the guards.  He explains to the head guard what has happened while he had been under cover and what the rebels are up to.  He orders the head guard to prepare the palace for battle.

While preparing for battle Prince Rollester sends a message to the rebel group informing them of whom he really is and invites them to come and take the palace if they think the rebels are strong enough.  Prince Rollester along with Pace and several hundred guards stand ready to fight.  Just as the prince had hoped, the rebels came out of hiding and made their way into the palace.

Prince Rollester did not know that some of the guards were actually part of the rebel group as well.  As everyone is fighting and killing one another, the prince sees several of the guards turn on him.  Pace protects the prince and leads him to safety.  While the fighting continues in the palace, Prince Rollester and Pace escape to the dungeons.

The prince leads Pace to the cell where his wife is kept.  While Pace and his wife talk, the prince waits on guard by the entrance, ready to kill anyone who comes near.  To his surprise Cain charges into the dungeon and confronts Prince Rollester.  The prince does his best in trying to kill Cain, but fails. Cain stabs the prince in the shoulder, but decides not to kill him.  He allows the prince to escape and to never return to the palace again. The prince having no other choice agrees to leave the kingdom in exchange for his life.

Cain allows the prince, Pace, and Pace’s wife escape out of the secret passage in the dungeon.  The prince pleads to Pace to stay by his side until the time comes where he can return back to the kingdom and regain control of the lost monarchy.  Pace convinces the prince to come back with him to his island for the time being while they figure out the best strategy one day bring the rebels down and bring the true monarchy back into power.

While Pace, his wife, and the prince head back to Pace’s home, Cain along with the rebel group had completely taken over the palace and with that, the kingdom.  The rebel leader has Cain take the throne and places the kings’ crown onto his head. With his new powers, given to him through Fay’s eages, the leader stands by Cain’s side and takes control of the kingdom into his own hands.  Cain never realizes that all his decisions as the new king of Enussha are actually the decisions that the leader is telling him to make.  Cain obliviously goes along with everything and just enjoys the fact that he is actually king and not just some simple bartender anymore.
