Watch out for the Ceiling

         Brothers Maurice Defiguero, twenty-five, and Emerson Defiguero, eighteen, were arrested and charged with three accounts of second-degree murder with the possibility of fourth-degree murder. The three victims have been identified as the brother's entire immediate family: Maisy Defiguero, Katherine Defiguero, and Isaac Defiguero. The victims were found brutally deformed and unrecognizable.
         Maurice and Emerson Defiguero claim they are not guilty, yet strong evidence points their way. If found guilty, the could get a lifetime in prison or the death penalty.

September 31, 4:00 P.M
Interrogation Room.

         Maurice entered first. He was guided to an empty chair. Next to his chair was another. Moments later, Emerson entered and was guided to the other empty chair. They didn't look at each other. Moments later, two more men entered: A cop and a Detective. The detective sat down in a chair adjacent to both of the Defiguero brothers while the cop remained standing. The detective did not come empty handed; he brought along a portfolio which contained a series of documents and images. The detective fiddled through the papers, searching for nothing in particular. He eventually stopped, and suddenly the air became still. Quiet.
         The detective broke the silence, "Did you both take part in the murders?" he questioned. He obviously wasn't interested in any small details. He wanted the truth.
         The assumption about the Defiguero brothers was a reasonable one.
         "Six days ago, a was enjoying their Friday night. A cute four year old girl, Maisy; two brothers, separated by seven years of age, Maurice and Emerson; and the two parents, Katherine and Isaac. Normally this would sound like an enjoyable evening, wouldn't you agree?"
         No eye contact was made. Maurice stared blankly off to the side while Emerson stared down at nothing.
