The Adventures of Stone: Chapter 1 Harnessing the Power

Stone: "Sigh, do I have to go to this school? Can't you and Mom just teach me?"

Blitz: "Now Stone, I know you don't know many dragons around here; however every single one of you has to attend this Academy."

Stone: "But.." , chided Stone in a weary voice

Blitz: "No "buts", son, you will make new friends! I am sure of it."

[Stone miserably flew out of the caves makeshift window and departed away from Drafar; a small city in the outskirts of Draconia. Draconia was a massive human-dragon friendly city; it was actually quite a astonishing feat, the walls that fortified it from the "outside lands" was a yellowish brick that glowed in the sunlight showing its excellence, the inside was full of massive market places that sold many a trinket and delectable treat. I was gliding through when I met up with my only friend Sparkle.]

Stone: "He..Hey Sparkle you're looking beautiful today."

[She was truly a sight to behold. Her gorgeous hair was a lutescent with dark blue lightning shaped ends, that had such a luster, that they would catch any male dragons attention. Her body was a slender build with cream colored scales, and her eyes were a magnificent turquoise color.]

Sparkle: "[Giggles] Hey Stone, where are you heading off to?"

Stone: "Well, my dad has sent me off to the school, so I can begin using my powers and hopefully become one of the H.D.A. but anyways, what are you up to right now?"

Sparkle: "I was heading there as well, let's go together." [She nudges Stones shoulder.]

[They both began flying to the Dragon Academy side by side they flew past groups of merchants making their clothes flow in the breeze. They ducked under a stone bridge and got so close to the river, you could see little waves forming.]

Stone: "We're nearly there; I can see the school now."
[Stone pointed up at a massive citadel atop a enormous mountain the locals call Dragons visage because of its unique formation that resembled a dragon's face.

They slowed down perching on the rocks and began walking to the entrance. There were many groups of different colored dragons in little chat circles all around the flat surface, talking and playing around. Suddenly a Grey and blue dragon passed by slapping Stone on the head leaving a red spot.]

Dragon: "Hey kid, you must be new here. Mind if I ask why are you hanging out with my future wife? You little brat."

Sparkle: "Watch it Calamity, we have nothing going on and never will."

Calamity: "Aww, you don't have to protect this runt, he's a newbie. I can whoop em' into shape." [Calamity slid his paw under Sparkles chin moving her head.]

Stone: "Back off!"
[Stone punched Calamity in the jaw, which threw him down on his four legs gliding in the patch of grass he was standing on.]

Calamity: "Whoa!? You caught me off guard." [Calamity grabbed his jaw, and popped it back into place.]
"You have some strength. You must be some sort of Earth dragon. But that's nothing. Let me introduce you to real power."
[Calamity flew up a few feet, eyes glowing and the skies turned darker; just then two cyclones formed on Stones left and right sides and hurled at him.

A crowed began to form of dragons watching the fight.]

Stone: "Oh..Damn"
[Stone flew forward and avoided them the sound of air gusting around the two formed a bigger cyclone.]

Calamity: "Hahaha, now for the grand finale."
[Calamity clutched his paws and the cyclones imploded blowing everyone back an inch.]

Stone: "Phew, you had me going for a.."
[After a second, Stone's eyes fell back into his head. Stone fell face first into the dirt, eyes wide open. Sparkles ran to him with a worried expression.]

Sparkle: "What did you do to him!?"

Calamity: "That was an internal air slice."
[He explained with a smile showing his white fangs,]
"That tornado that blew up on its self released invisible blades that cut into him. Only affecting the victim inernally."

[Suddenly the whole crowed got quiet; Stone got up so quickly he looked possessed. His eyes were now a jet black color, his scales darkened green and his horns grew an inch looking much more lance and vicious.]

Stone(Deep Voice): "You will regret that!"
[Stone pointed to Calamity and the earth beneath him began to shift. Earthen spikes hit Calamity's underbelly, opening gaping red holes.]

Calamity: "Gah! What? He unlocked his inner powers already? No one has done that since.. Him....." [Calamity tried desperately to get off of the impaling spikes; with no use. After a minute, he began to cry.]

Stone(Deep Voice): "Not so tough now, huh?"
[At that moment Stone saw that crystal clear tear and came back to reality. He flew back towards the ground and the spikes disappeared back into the dirt; leaving a ruby red pool from under Calamity.]

"That is enough!", A booming voice exclaimed.

(Hushed whispers): "The elder. Everyone break it up." [The other dragons all dispersed.]

[A mighty looking older dragon flew down to Stone and Sparkle; landing with a loud thump.]

Exodus: "So, I am in my chambers for less then a minute, and a pupil is nearly killed?"

Sparkle: "Calamity started.." , in a bit of a whimper before Exodus interrupted.

Exodus: "And you? I would of thought better of you. As for our new pupil.... In my chambers immediately. I wish to have a talk with you. As for you Calamity.....shake it off" , He pointed towards Calamity and a green beam of light hit him; where the bloody holes had been, new fresh scales appeared like new.

Calamity: "Yes sir!" [He left with a limp of defeat.]

Stone: "Sorry sir, I will go now." [Stone took flight and rocketed inside the school not even knowing where the office was]

Exodus/Stone: "It is the last chamber to the Right of the Grand Hall", Exodus said telepathically.

[Stone reached the door, it was a gilded with mahogany wood, in the shape of a giant upside down U. I walked in and I saw so many bookcases of massive volumes, endless and dusty; a globe of our discovered territories, a black table and throne-like chair, with portraits hanging on the walls with draconic crystal incasing pictures of past heroic dragons.

I was just about to touch this crystal vase that was on the black table when the doors flung open almost causing me to hit the vase. ]

Exodus: "Stone, my boy! A introduction is in order. Welcome to this fine Institution for our dragons to harness and hopefully use their powers for the good of all races. I am Exodus, the headmaster. I have been for the past 5 years, I might add. And when you did back there was incredible! Now, I mean maiming a student is of course, bad, but you unlocked your powers without any help and at such a young age! It is very impressive."
[Exodus smiled, forming wrinkles down his snout.]

Stone: "Err.. thanks, I mean I didn't want to but he was harassing my friend."

Exodus" Of course, of course there will not be any punishment on either sides but I will have a special eye watching for you. This sure is going to be an interesting year…"
