An innocent poem about a girl and what she thinks about the moon
Down the earth sat a girl aged three or two,

Staring at a bright round thing floating in the sky,

Her eyes shined with longing,

For she knew the moon was calling ,

She stretched her hands to get closer,

One inch...two inch;nothing seemed better;

She reached as high as possible,

The moon, after all, was alone in the dark room of night;

Her eyes swam in salty tears

The moon was calling out loud

It's radiance slowly disappearing behind cruel clouds

And she got near no better;

No stars, only clouds of evil,

How will the moon stay alone?

She jumped and jumped, tears painting her cheeks,

The moon stayed still but called;

Her bed came to notice,

And she was tired to meet the moon;

She cuddled between her pillows and slept,

Slept till she could feel light pirecing her eyes;

She opened her eys, greeted by a jolly sun;

Her eyes widened in astonishment,

The moon had died...

The realization hit her with guilt;

Again at night she saw the moon,

This time he was not lonely,

But with stars beside him,

Laughing and playing hide and seek in the sky;

Inside she knew the moon still called,

Her longing to reach him had not dimmed a bit;

She smiled with all her heart at the moon,

She is happy that atleast he is not dead after all!;
