An avocado and a maiden mango
Who met in a Coconut Shell;
Saw the pomegranate king of ‘Vango.
And hearing he knew the tango,
They wanted to learn as well.
Going to the dance floor round,
Of the king they did implore;
The way to move to sound.
So he started to move around,
Showing them the dance, what’s more.
The king turned to his right,
Moving his feet forward left-right;
As they followed with eager sight.
Then they turned to their right,
Moving their feet forward left-right.
Avocado was counting the steps though,
When time came to turn around;
He stepped on maiden mango’s toe.
Feeling sore to hurt her so,
They both tumbled to the ground.
Lips first touched on coconut floor,
When the two down were led.
Yet this amazed pomegranate even more:
For vowing to dance again nevermore,
They would much rather kiss instead!
