A description of the demographics of my targeted audience
Heresy: The Book of Mammon, is the second book of a larger series called The Spires of Arlia. Readers of the previous book will likely have interest in this, as it continues the story shortly after book one ended.

This is a broad spectrum of writing that I am covering in this novel, but there are some points that will target specific readers, and perhaps turn others away.

Heresy will have a light exegisis that will perhpas spark some controversy. I've done my best at eliminating any mention of real religions, but there's wording and verbiage that will relate to christianity, islam, paganism, and animism.

It's my belief that Dan Brown did an outstanding job with tempting readers into buying his novel "The DaVinci Code"

He utilized a controversy that made many people want to read the novel, I was one of them.

As such, I imagine, if this book were to be published and marketed, the same thing would work well here.

I assume that most readers of this particular genre will be quite shocked when they read it. As a fantasy reader, I'm used to reading of magic, wizards, elves, dwarves, etc. They will find none of that in this book, but what they will see, are creatures that border the realms of realism and surrealism. This will likely target the genre's fans as a whole.

There's a large military backstory in this novel that will grasp readers of epic fantasy as well as historical and speculative fiction.

I'm assuming that the main audience of my book will be roughly between 18 and 45.
Most of them will have some understanding of conspiracy theories that revolve around christianity, and islam.
Others will likely have some interest in it based on the demonology that I've written.

Due to some of the more graphic scenes, I'm assuming that most readers will be male.

There is some advanced referencing to our own world that will likely require a cultural understanding to relate to, as such I'm assuming that most readers will have a high school education. I've done my best at laying it out as easy as I can make a reader understand, therefore, anyone can read and understand the story.

There are some romantic qualities to this book that will appear to a broader spectrum of readers, and will perhaps coax them into desiring to read it.

I've also added a slight steampunk element, which is growing ever more popular among readers, which will have some appeal to my audience.

Any fan of Suzanne Collins, Terry Goodkind, George R.R. Martin, Phillip Pullman, and Dan Brown will likely be interested in this book. As such, I feel that my targeted audience is extensive and will aid the success of this book if it were to become published.
