I saw some little Monsters running round my head.

I thought I saw them once before while lying in my bed.

They really are such demons, and when I am being good,

They tell me not to do things that I know I really should.


Sometimes they sit and laugh at me when told to go away,

And then they make me say things that I didn't ought to say!

Sometimes when I am hungry, and I know I should eat fruit,

They offer me the chocolate and sit there looking cute!


Then when I am shopping and see things I should not buy,

They make me have a bill so big, it makes me want to cry.

The moral of the story, if you see monsters in your bed,

Give them cocoa, tuck them up, and knock them on the head!
