There was a song called "You cant fool A Newfounderlander" This is my answer
                          Crime Dosen,t  Pay

Now there is another story

'Bout a theif in Newfoundland

And how the Mounties caught him

While roaming 'cross thr land;

He was like the boys from Carmen-ville

But it was a cow he stole

He then took her home to cook

Over a fire of coal.

Next morning to the farm house

Farmer John did go

To see how his cows were

But found that one was stole

He then called upon the mounties

To find the theif at larger

And have him brought to justice

For stealing was the charge

Now the mounties got the message

And thery sent a man straight down

To find out where the theif was

From friends around the town

But his questions were not answered

No-one had seen the cow

But farmer Jones had heard some noise

While working on his plow

The mountie then went over

To where the noise was heard

And found a great big pool of blood

The color of his serge

He followed the trail of evidence

To a run down old shack

And told the man inside the house

With me your coming back

With you I'll not go sir

For a warrant you must show

The mountie showed the paper

To jail he was to go

He went back with the mountie

He'd have to go to jail

Unless he got out on bail

The moral of the little song

Say's crime just dosen't pay

The R.C.M.P. will catch you

And put you into jail

So follow the path of righteousness

And shun crime when you can

And take a lesson from old Dan

The mounties always get there man
