Sept 4 Entry (English Sonnet) - WDC Birthday Poetry Contest |
| Goodnight's Kiss She steals upon the day with velvet feet and breathes the darkness, covering the sun, until her darkling purpose is complete; her whispered promises set free to run. Though tenuous, she enters in my dreams of passion's fantasy of love and lust. Though warned, my heart responded, so it seems, to gifts of Morpheus that held no trust. As sunlight broke the fasting of the night, in realms between dream and reality, I found that special moment of delight as lips caressed in sensuality. Awake, I find her taste, her touch remain to tempt me back into her realm again.
