A bit of fun ... at my expense LOL
Silky Drawers

With blinders on, I'd walked store aisles
until you turned my head.
It was the gentle touch you had;
it wasn't what you said.

That fateful day I first met you,
I never knew how close
that we'd become so quickly.
It was "Cotton, adios!"

Though at first I kept you secret,
embarrassed deep inside,
I proudly show your colors off ...
to doctors. I have pride.

It took time for us to connect
but I appreciate
that when we walk no longer
do I feel you undulate.

Oh sure, we've had our ups and downs
but you've supported me.
You've never left me hanging
though, at times, you set me free.

My wife thinks that you're sexy;
I think she loves you more.
When you depart, come eventide,
you're never on the floor.
