Turbulence

                             "Turbulence"

Drowned in darkness on the edge of a tempest,
tossed about on intangible waves provoked by anger and chaos,
where panic consumed all air, and exhausted hope.
Depths of despair defied any ambition of surviving.
Surreal; surrendered to the battered vessel, aimlessly afloat
upon an obscene mirage of wreckage into the eye of nothingness.
Drenched by the once raging sea, and now drifting into oblivion,
fragmented thoughts manifested illusions of vague images.
Soft slapping salt water and spraying mists promised a revival.
Parting the veil, as fog burned off with a rising sun, more was revealed.
Lurking surprises continued to surround a spent body.
Emerging in slow motion, an animated ferocious feline
stalking the dreamer's worn and weary mind was startling.
An awkward awakening ensued; whispered purrs and sloppy wet kisses.
