Surrounded
by the jungle was the tree. A tree known as the Miona Arbor. Unknown
was the man who named it or where he originated yet a hint of an
ancient language could be traced within the cognomen
of the tree. Over a thousand meters above the ground, the peak laid,
creamy clouds clocking its very existence. Spiraling from the brown
fortress like trunk , was an unimaginable number of twirling branches
that swayed as if they pushed the wind, tapping on its fellow
twinkling timber. Branches varied in size , some connected to the
very permitted of the jungle and some were less than a foot long. The
lush green forest would seem dull to any man , when he glances upon
a single luxurious leaf of Miona Arbor. Even the smallest leaves of
the Miona Arbor forged a radiant rainbow of green, blasting it into
the sky. The leaves that clothed the sky , spawned confection , and
when the wind dared to batter against the mighty tree it would rain
fruit.
One
might imagine then that comely
creatures of all types will inhabit this natural landmark , but on
this day there was only one. At the end of a small branch , stood a
member
of the Sciuridae family.
Its bushy, tail curled above its minute head and from its mouth
escaped a small snigger.
Moist
silt
and smooth loess
squelched under the man's boots. Gold sunlight bathed the destructive
machine as he inspected it for any damage. Its appearance was of a
normal digger but where the claw would lay , were multiple chainsaw
each the size of a full grown man. For several days he hadn’t
inspected his tool and he knew his technician wouldn’t take it
lightly. Visually he saw a tooth missing on the chainsaw and three
others were half shattered. From his belt he drew out a black device
and noted the damage as well as unusual characteristics. He jogged
towards the car eager to get home.
The
bulky, black land rover’s door wouldn’t budge but he
pulled with all his might , playing tug of war with the automobile.
The door gave and swung open. Jumping inside he slammed the door
behind. Searching his pockets for the key, he was not able to
discover it.
“Dam,
left it inside.” The man groaned sheepishly.
He
opened the door but it wouldn’t budge. Another attempt the man
made, but then realized it was locked. He goofed on how it locked
for short minutes. He felt fatigued after wrestling with the door
several times. Sweat slipped across his sore arms.
“I
need to get home!”
Upon
the bonnet laid a small creature. Its bushy tail curled upon its
minute head and the sun transformed its brown fur into fine orange
streaks. Between his forepaws was the key to the car. Rather than
squealing the way a squirrel ought to, it let out a low pitched growl
that sent shattering shivers crawling up the man's spine.
Squirrel.
Rolling
his eyes in search of an escape, he saw within the mirror a colossal
grey giant that ran with unbelievable speed. Glistening white tusks,
at least four foot in length, tore through the rear of the car. The
bulky bicuspid ran from the boot and through back seat. With no
effort what so ever, the enormous elephant tore the boot and backseat
, tossing it to the machine with irreplaceable accuracy. It crushed
the roof of the digger like machine and fell into the seat. The
elephant slowly reversed and again ran with ineffable,
brisk acceleration and surged around a meter in the air and
plummeted upon the remains of the car trampling it, crushing it ,the
melting metal sinking to the earth's core.
