Electronic Communications and Communities

         Cell phones, email, chat rooms, social networking sites, blogs, and other electronic communication have made our world smaller and increased the pace at which we live life. These inventions have improved our lives and connected us to people from afar. For example these inventions have given us a new sense of community or opened up communities that would otherwise be closed to us. This has been done by helping us connect to other people with the same values as us, and it allows for a whole new community on the internet that would not be possible without these electronic communication. A whole new community resulted from these inventions.
         These electronic communications have given us a new sense of community by opening up communities that would have otherwise been closed. It helps by connecting us to people from all around the world. It allows us to be able to communicate with people with the same beliefs and values. As a result, we come together as a group even though we are not in geographic proximity. That right there is a community. It's a new sense of community not having to be close like a town for example. It caused a whole new community over the internet. For example this website can be described as a community. A community of people who have come together and have an appreciation of writing. This would not have been possible without these electronic communications allowing us to be able to share our values, works, and opinions.
In conclusion, cell phones, email, chat rooms, social networking sites, blogs, and other electronic communication have given us a new sense of community, and it has opened up communities that would otherwise been closed to us. Without these electronic communications we would not be able to connect to people from around the world which essential makes the world seem smaller. It has allowed for a new sense of community over the internet that it is not just in geographic proximity but now over a larger part of the world and with diverse people who share common beliefs and values.
