If Heaven was a Mile Away

If Heaven was a mile away

I'd pray that I not get stopped

At the pearly white gates

Hearing I never knew you

You must turn away

I gave you plenty time and you still

Went astray

You mocked the faith by

Open praise

And yet you still chose

Your own way

You knew and still know

That there is a way

That seems right to a man

But the end thereof is death

Warnings I gave you

But it was a waste of My breath

You knew your place,

Yet you chose to be replaced

And gave your position to Seth

Now you're quoting scripture

To avoid being left

The righteous I do not forsake

Which is true as you know

And this is the reason I say

Depart and leave my face

I'm a good Father with mighty good gifts,

good mercy, and amazing grace.

I asked you to honor me with your life and you turned my name to a disgrace

I pleaded and begged that you walk the straight and narrow

But you refused to do

So, heart as hard as Pharaoh

You spoke death when you knew that life

could be spoken to dry bones to provide marrow

I even commanded that you walk straight

But instead you stated you'd rather treat my divine walk as a maze

You sang Me lyrics I loved,

Lies from your heart of course,

You never gave true confession

And participated in unholy intercourse

I'd ask you to repent from your lying ways

But you said one more time and you pleaded your case

I always gave you time and space from your momentary repentance

But then you'd get upset with others and not extend the forgiveness

I loved you more than you ever loved another

I even gave you sisters, a mother, and brothers

But you couldn't be faithful over little

So I made your enemies ruler over you

Your enemies could win souls,

And you were a common fool.

You sang songs and

Read my psalms

But as far as I'm concerned

You're friends with those who read palms

You abused my anointing and robbed my storehouse

I blessed you with riches and you kept the tenth of My alms

In the storms of life I gave you

Peace and made oceans stand still

And ensured even thunders were calmed

I made your enemies your foot stool and

You represented me as a fool.

You fornicated and masturbated

Instead of taking my wisdom

From the liberated God, instead

you upbraided

Claimed not to be a murderer

And abortion was not your only charge

But even your brethren you hated.

Any and every appetite that your lustful heart can

Consume you satiated

My grace you frustrated

And sins you've initiated

And spirits of hell you demonstrated,

You cannot come in

I can't have you enter and defile the new heaven

I'm sorry that you couldn't get it together

but a little leaven

Leaveneth the whole lump

A little coal in a pile of smooth stones creates

A whole bump

And I don't hate you see

I can't have you spreading division in my Kingdom

I tried to get you to behave like a King's son

But you said you'd rather be a heathen,

And so for this reason... You... must... depart

If Heaven was a mile away

I would not defile its presence

With my failure to wait

I'd prefer to get it together now

And when the Messiah comes back

Ill be bold and ready,

To turn sin down,

To get ready for eternal life and

To accept my crown

If only, If only Heaven was a mile away...
