It must have been sweet Spring with her pure, fresh promise

who flourished our deep friendship

like the misty morning dew.

With finely feathered wings you flew into my heart

deftly captivating me

with uniquely loving arts.

Wisdom, humor and grace,
flowed freely as you shared.
Your will to love undaunted by a frame as fine as lace.

Dreams we dreamed together
of joyful time well spent laughing,talking,playing cards, delightfully so content.

My precious little bird

with eyes so bright and blue, brief was our time of friendship

a garden of love it grew.

Heaven is our treasure. God's promises are true.

Though we never chanced to meet my heart will recognize you.

Spring brought me a dear friend, Fall's chill bore her away.

While trees lay bare and dormant Spring's blessing lives every day.
