Pretzel and the Python

Pretzel and his family finds out that a python snake was found in Muttgomery.

It all started at Doxie's home. Pretzel and the pups were playing until Greta came home from work.

Greta: I'm back.

Paxton: Hey, mom's home.

Greta: Hi everyone. What are you up to?

Poppy: We were just going to play freeze tag.

Pretzel: Yep. and I'm it. Look out, here I come.

(Everyone laughing and running)

Pretzel: Tag. Your frozen, Pippa.

Puck: Unfreeze.

Just then Pedro stopped for moment. He found something in the flowers.

Pedro: Everyone. What's this?

Pippa: I never seen anything like it.

Poppy: It look likes a shedded animal skin. Wait, I think a book that can help us.

(Poppy searching for a book)

Poppy: Nope, I don't have a book that help us with whatever this is.

Paxton: I know. Let's check the library.

They searched everywhere until Pedro found a book that could help them.

Puck: A book of reptiles? Really?

Poppy: No wait. Pedro may be on to something.

They all looked in the book.

Greta: Here it is. This is a snakeskin.

The Pups: Snakeskin?

Pretzel: Right. Is says it right here. "When snakes grow, their skin does not, so they outgrow it. When this happens, they shed their outer layer of skin."

Pippa: But the one we found is a big snakeskin. So it must a big snake.

Poppy: It belongs to a python.

Pretzel: Python is a genus of constricting snakes. But don't worry they're non-venomous and it says some are friendly and some are not.

Is was nighttime and the library was close. The Doxies went home. Everyone was asleep except Pedro. He was still thinking about python in the book.

Pedro: Pups, are you guys awake?

Puck: We are now.

Paxton: What's up?

Pedro: I'm been thinking about something. What would happen if a python snake was actually seen in our city?

Poppy: Everyone would probably get terrified. Please, Pedro, just go back to sleep.

And he did.

When everyone woke up. They all went out to play. Greta had already went to work.

Everyone: Bye!

Pretzel: So, what should we play today, pups?

Pedro: Hey, let play a little fetch.

But when Puck ran to get mail from Ms. Pupperpost. He notice she was afraid.

Puck: Ms. Pupperpost, what's wrong?

Ms. Pupperpost: I saw a big snake when I was about to deliver your mail. But then she slithered away very quickly. Anyways, here's your mail. (she said in a shaky voice)
Gotta zip.

Pippa: Do you think is has something to do with a python snake?

Paxton: Could be.

They went to discuss it at City Hall.

Poppy: Mom, everyone. Ms. Pupperpost said she seen a sn----

But when she was about to finish. They were hiding.

Pedro: What happened? Is it the snake?

Ms. Clawtez: Yes. How'd you know?

Puck: Because that what we want talk to you about. Ms. Pupperpost said she seen one. She also said it slithered away when saw it.

They all went to the park and met their friends.

Lucy: A snake? Yikes.

Pippa: Yeah. And it frightened Mom, Ms. Pupperpost, Ms. Clawtez, Mr. Shaggs, and Mr. Bernard.

Russell: But didn't Ms. Pupperpost said that it was hiding.

Grampy: It sounds like it's more afraid of everyone.

Pedro: Hmm.

Pretzel: Pedro, what are you thinking?

Pedro: I'm thinking we should find this snake and find out why it's hiding from everyone.

Curly: Can we help them? Please?

Sammy's Mom: Of course.

Pups: Yay.

That night, everyone was asleep, except for the Doxies and their friends.

Pretzel: Any sign of it yet, pups?

Pippa: Not yet.

Puck: Wait, there it is.

Pedro: Freeze, right where you are?

Snake: Ahh!

Pedro: Wait, don't hide. We want ask you something.

Paxton: Yeah. We won't hurt you, Mrs. Snake.

Snake: Phew. Please, just call me Ella.

Delilah: Nice to meet you, Ella.

Greta: So why were you hiding from everyone, Ella?

Ella: Because I thought if everyone saw and thought I was going to hurt them, they would hurt me.

Pretzel: Why would you think that?

Ella: Because everyone probably thinks I'm scary and mean. All I wanted was some friends, but I had no luck.

Pedro: We don't think your scary or mean.

Ella: You don't? Are you sure? Because I am a big snake.

Poppy: Of course we don't. We know you harmless and just want a friend.

Pedro: You want to be our friends? We'll show everyone that your nice.

Ella: Really?

Poppy: Of course. New friend.

The Doxies agreed.

Ella: Of course. I'd love to be friends with you.

Ella thanked them by coiling around them and giving them a big hug.

They all grunted of how tight she hugged them.

Ella: Thank you all sssso much.

Paxton: You're welcome but---

Greta: We can't breathe.

Ella: Whoops! Sorry.

And she uncoiled them.

Pedro: Thanks.

They all went to sleep with their new snake friend.

But when Pedro woke up. The snake was gone.

Pedro: Was that all just a dream? Thank goodness.

Pippa: Oh. You're finally awake.

Pedro: Yeah. Hey, you all didn't see a snake name Ella, have you?

They were all confused

Pretzel: Ella? A snake? Sounds like you had quite dream there.

Pedro: Oh. Yeah, I guess I did. And hug she gave us was a bit squeezy.

Pretzel: How about Doxie hug that less squeezy.

All: Awwww.

But then the same snake appeared.

Ella: Hi Doxiesssss.

They all look each other then screamed.
