Southern Style Thanksgiving in Berkeley?

Growing up in Berkeley, in the 60s and 70s
My favorite holiday was Thanksgiving,

My mother was from Arkansas
And did a traditional southern style
Holliday treat,

Started with a big Turkey,
Stuffed with stuffing made of bread, carrots, herbs, onions, mushrooms..
Biscuits, Cranberry sauce, Green beans, greens southern style
Grits, gravy cooked in bacon grease
Mashed potatoes, salad
Sweet potatoes with marshmallows
Wild rice, white rice, and pecan pie
With vanilla ice cream for dessert
We were thankful that we could
get along for one day a year.
