I heard this song quite a few years ago on the radio and then had a heck of a time trying to find it to listen to again! I would find versions of it by other singers, which were nice, but for me it is something about Toby Keith's voice and the way he sings it that makes it my favorite version. The instrumental part of the music has a lilt to it that feels comforting and reminds me of being a kid myself. The lyrics talking of 'old toy trains' means for me that they are passing down toys that have been used by other generations and that holds more feeling for me than new items. We gifted things like this to our children (when the time was appropriate) and taught them the importance of taking care of those specific items so they could be cherished and handed down again to the next generation.
