Don't give up today because you have a poem to keep writing,
The one where you told your Nan's story,
And how she was so strong and kept fighting,
Even though she is no longer with you,
That story needs telling,
So I'm telling you not to give up now,
Whilst you have the ability to keep people listening,

Stay focused and don't give up today,
Don't give up today because you still have people to prove wrong,
Like the bullies that made your life a living hell,
And told you that you did not belong,
Well I'm here to tell you that ain't true,
And I know the days seem long,
But I'm telling you not to give up now,
Whilst you have the power to stay strong,

Keep listening to me and don't give up today,
Don't give up today because you still have people to see,
The lovely boy at the coffee shop,
The one that makes you feel free,
Or your best friend who's sort of fucking crazy,
But that's who she'll be,
So don't you dare give up now,
Else you're leaving those who fill your heart with glee,

Don't go anywhere and don't give up today,
Don't give up today because you still have that song to sing,
The one that tributed the friend you lost,
When he passed away back in Spring,
Even though you didn't always get along,
He held your hand throughout everything,
So if you give up now,
You will feel the same way he was feeling,

Stay with me and don't give up today,
Don't give up today because of your sister and brother,
They can't wait for you to come home and see them again,
So you're gonna have to journey through life even further,
Because if you go and leave them now,
They will be the ones that suffer,
So please do not give up now,
Else their need to see you will become much stronger,

Don't give up today because you still have so much to give,
The poems, the songs, the memories,
Help you bring back the will to live,
I know that you aren't feeling great at the moment,
And everything in your life seems negative,
But if you keep going just for a little longer,
I promise the hole in your heart will be less massive,

Don't give up today,
So you can have more time,
Time to figure out the truth,
The truth being that your existence isn't a crime,
When you wake up tomorrow morning,
I can't promise everything will be fine,
But if you keep going for another day,
I'll be here to tell you again why it's so important for you to stay alive,
