No one knows what to do when a family disintegrates. A simple poem about the sting.
A broken ring
A broken vow
A broken back
A broken soul

A broken heart
A broken family
A broken future
A broken dream

So much broken
Plenty of broken to go around
Who’s to say
Who broke what
Or when and why and how

Sweep it into a dustpan
Sweep it under the rug
Or walk barefoot through the broken
Ignoring the lacerations that ensue thereof

All out of duct tape
All out of super glue
My whole world is broken
Is your world broken too?
