January 15th Writer's Cramp (122 words, 16 lines)
The summer’s light would stretch from dawn to dusk,
When young, the seconds slowly wend away.
The streams and fields would call with gentle trust,
And every hour witnessed child’s play.

The years passed by like whispers in the night,
My fam'ly grew under protective gaze.
Their laughter framed my autumn’s golden light,
Their memories erode into the haze.

Against the clock, an empty house stands still,
While echoes paint the halls with distant song.
The world outside turns faster than my will.
Outpaced in time, I do not linger long.

Yet in my mind, a boy still chases sun,
His laughter ripples where the rivers gleam.
The seasons pass, but he is ever young,
Immortal in the quiet of my dream.
