A poem based off my experiences currently working at a water botting plant.
Each time I clock in for my shift,
I step onto the factory floor.
The work I do is never a bore.
It’s really a great gift.
Water that’s chill,
Water for bottles to fill,
Water to rinse pipes and tanks.
Bottling, packing, and shipping water isn’t easy.
But I’ll always give thanks.
Five years and counting,
I earn a solid wage
Keeping the building clean and safe.
I’ll push down the rage.
Audits, complaints, changes
Try my mind and my heart.
I work with water and do my part.
Some people drink water from the spring.
Some down water filtered and pure.
Water cases sit on pallets
Ready to be shipped to any store.
The work we do is never a bore.
When the summer sun burns hot,
When the temperature climbs,
We work hard to supply the people
With bottled water they need
At great speed.
Though my body and mind tire,
Though complaints come,
Though spills happen,
Though water splashes me,
From time to time,
I’ll smile and keep working.
I’ll remember this rhyme.
