Petals...after years

Shadows stretch where light once played,
Memories dim,
...in the dusk, they fade.

Yet in the stillness, a spark remains,
A fleeting warmth...
...amidst the chains.

For though the embers lose their glow,
The heart remembers...
...what it used to know.
