You have broken me

Like frayed strings on a marionette doll,
Each insult leaves me
Sinking further to the ground

                             —Debilitating
                             —Mind Altering
                             —Manic Producing

On bended knee, you promised to always care for me.
But your care turned to procession.
You promised me: adventure, travel—Paris.

                             —Romance
                             —Pampering
                             —The moon

But your lies cut deeper than any knife.
I find myself living on the floor,
Scraping up pieces of my shattered soul.

When you're not near, I sail to places afar,
Away from you and everything you are.
One day, it'll be you collapsed on the dirt,
And the red liquid turning the dirt to mud,
Will this time be coming from you, instead of me.
