Congress needs less prideful meandering and a lot more wise spending - a poem. |
A reliable voice speaks soundly; Nerves are constantly being frayed - A collection of declared efforts Seeks resolution Of a morose path Toward indemnified rapture. A perilous circuit Of vocal impudence Splays the loose designs Of a latent alleyway Of pertinent wins - An egalitarian rhetoric For the patented demise Of a party’s granular support… Insiders struggle with their constituency’s Lathered squelching. The pride of the community Instills a commodious retreat. Salient wisdom percolates. And the window widens To let the air flow in Through the layered drapes Which obscure the dream-like, Meritorious beams of pleasure. The amplitude of martyrdom; A magical illusion of smoke and mirrors Crystallizing in the optimal clarity Of a judicious manner; Closing in on additional funds For the zany, profligate experiment… A miraculous victory for everyone’s just And sacred endeavors Which have met with the approval Of the plurality or majority Of knowing, provident, Witless actors and entrusted saints Of the local and regional verve; The states precluding additional affirmations By each solution-oriented side Of the magnificent spectrum… And an open house backs the judgement Of that united and verbose structure To further the ends of the bartering process; Alleviating the marvelous, beneficent creatures So divine… |
