Announcing my new novel in progress — a genuine sequel exploring deep human stories.

Hello everyone!

It’s been a long time since I posted, and the reason is simple: I've grown weary.

I am exhausted by modern storytelling. Exhausted by endlessly complicated fantasy epics where you need a detailed map and a seven-book reading commitment just to grasp the premise. I'm tired of the endless focus on special effects and magical world-building. Lately, I feel like authors compete on complexity rather than on depth of human experience. And frankly, I find it tedious.

I longed to return to literature where the focus is on the Human Being. Where the most intricate and compelling plot device is not magic, but the human soul and a moral choice.

That’s why I’ve done something completely unexpected: I am writing a genuine sequel to Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre.

My novel is called Mrs. Rochester, and it explores the world the original book only briefly touches upon. What was it like for Jane to become Lady Rochester? How do they navigate a happy but complicated marriage? How durable is their "happily ever after" against new trials and old enemies?

What finally pushed me to do this?

I recently came across a supposed continuation titled "A Christmas in India" by Barbara Ford. If you truly cherish Brontë’s work, I beg you: never read it. It was unbearable. Those were not the characters we love; they were simply mannequins wearing the heroes' names, devoid of sincerity and psychological depth. I couldn't finish half of it.

That's when I decided: if a sequel is to be written, it must be written in the spirit of Charlotte Brontë herself.

In my continuation, you will find:

Sharp social conflicts where money sometimes outweighs a title.

Intense marital drama (Mr. Rochester is far from a perfect husband, even now).

The return of old characters who haven't said their final word (Hello, Miss Ingram!).

A deep exploration of the Rivers sisters and little Adèle's new life.

If you are a fellow Jane Eyre fanatic and long for an era where the drama was not about saving the world, but about saving one's heart and honor — please follow along.

I believe true classics only wait for us to breathe new life into them.

P.S. I am painstakingly working to preserve the classic translation's voice and atmosphere, ensuring the text remains true to the original's feeling.
