A light in the forest seen from the fortress

Little light in the forest,
I see you shine
From high castle walls,
From the City of Light.

Little light in the darkness,
Angels circle around you,
While demon armies are drawn away,
Distracted by distant wars.

Little light, look up and see:
The City still is shining.
Find your way through tangled dark,
I am waiting here.
