Autumn is a beautiful lady.

Lady In A Golden Dress

I always love this time of year
When trees are all ablaze,
And leaves are whirling in the air
Through all these glorious days.

Some see it as a dying time,
When the year is growing old;
I see a lady in her prime,
Wearing a dress of gold.

She spreads her magic all around,
And colours all she sees
With reds and golds, and joyful sound,
Singing in the trees.

A dance before she goes to bed,
To wake again in Spring,
Girlish green she'll wear, instead,
Once more to dance and sing.
