What I like most about myself

I'm a deep thinker with a tender heart. I am intuitive and can often feel the joy and pain of others. I am a rampant idealist who loves to be generous with my gifts.

What I hate most about myself

I tend to over-think things and can be hypersensitive. I often absorb the grief of others but observe their joy from afar. My view of the world is so idealized that I often end up disappointed and depressed when faced with reality. I've been know to give more than I can afford both financially and emotionally.

I must have been 8 or 9 when I read this, and I could totally relate. I harrassed my parents for years to get me a dog.

Jurassic Park

I was 14 when I read this book shortly after watching the movie. An MD writes a good horror story about dinosaurs and genetic engineering. Why, it's every nerd's dream come true.

Interview with the Vampire

I was 14 when I read this, just the ticket for my teenage angst and burgeoning sexuality.

White Oleander

I was 20 when I read this and could truly relate to her main character.

I was 23 when I read this, not much older than Elizabeth Wurtzel is in the book. Honestly, I doubt I'd like her if we met. That, however, only proves that there is something wide-reaching and universal about depression.

Most Memorable experience to date

Just after my college graduation I went to Equador for 3 weeks. This trip included living on a houseboat for 8 days and visiting several of the Galapagos Islands.
