How can they be happy?
How can they not see
Whats going on?
A girl's life
Is falling apart
And they don't even know.
They don't notice
Everytime she gets
A sharp object,
She uses it to inflict pain,
But not on someone else;
On herself.
They don't see
The scars on her arms
Shoulders and stomach.
They don't see the blood
Dripping down her arm,
Falling to the floor,
Forming its own river.
They don't care
About the ocean of tears
That she cries everynight.
They don't know
Whats happening to her
At home, school, everywhere,
To make her do thid to herself.
THey don't care
That she used to be hapy;
Her smile used
To light up a room,
And no matter how sad you are,
She could make you smile.
This poem is dedicated to my best friend. She used to cut herself, but now she doesn't because she talked to someone. If she is reading this, I want her to know that I'll always be there for her.
