The place was a realm fit for the gods It was a paradise beyond the minds comprehending No worries or troubles plagued its residents Everything was in perfect balance Nothing was out of place Until the people decided that they could do better They toiled day and night Sweat and blood was shed other the progress Unnatural towers of steal ripped at the once flawless sky Thick clouds of unbreathable smoke smother those that created it Gallons of sticky black liquid flood out into the once crystal waters But the people payed it no attention To busy trying to improve what was already perfection Soon the atmosphere was shredded Leaking out into the seams of the universe The life giving air was now causing mutating disease Fresh water became black tar Only to late did they realize what they did But there was no closing this Pandora's Box Their paradise was turning against them The balance was corrupted making the plane of exhistance warp and bend Volcanoes became active due to the shifting Fire and toxic gases were breathed upon the suffering people Few people survived the first year But those who continues to live cursed their greediness They learned the hard way that what they do have life changing consequences What had once been a place that made the gods themselves jealous was now murderous and deadly The land was bare as the trees turned to ash Lakes and oceans boiled away leaving pits of burning acid Thick clouds of sulfer blackened the skies Now ravaged beyond recognition, the lifeless sphere stands as a reminder to other worlds Showing them what happens when they mess with nature's perfection Where is the progress now? |
