Remember that Monty Python sketch where the vocational guidance counselor (John Cleese) asks the "dull" accountant (Michael Palin) what sort of job he wants and he says "lion taming." The counselor suggests that would be "a bit of a leap" and he "might want to work (his) way towards lion taming, say via banking." As a writer, I'm a bit like both characters. I either want to leap into being an Author or I think it's rather impossible. The sketch ends with Palin learning he mistook anteaters for lions and he retreats to his accountancy. I hope I will not retreat before the real or imagined lions within me - no matter how ferocious.
