I love nature – the emotions it evokes, the images it creates, and the questions it conjures. In fact, all my interests are nature-related (birding, hiking, mountain biking, for example) bar reading and writing. I've had to write for most of my life for academia but just recently started writing-writing (you know, for the hell of it, the art you call creative writing). I've never considered myself one of that type but I'm actually really enjoying it so far. I read lots of non-fiction (mainly about ecology and conservation) and a smidgen of fiction which is dominated by horror, thriller, and fantasy.
