  Welcome to the Rising Stars' Valentine's Day Secret Admirer's Club! This activity was designed as an opportunity to acknowledge your friends, mentors, and/or supporters with surprise gifts, while at the same time raising funds to promote the Rising Stars' mission of established WDC writers encouraging and supporting many of the black cases on the site through one-on-one mentoring. If you'd like to surprise someone with a Valentine's gift and support the Rising Stars at the same time, please read on below!  THE CONCEPT This activity is based on the age-old tradition of sending someone Valentine's Day gifts under the guise of a secret admirer, then revealing oneself to the recipient on February 14th. HOW IT WORKS 1. The first step is to select someone to secretly admire. All you have to do is fill out a "Rising Stars' Secret Admirer's Club Form"  for each gift you want to send. Easy, right? 2. The Rising Stars' staff will act as an intermediary, processing your requests and awarding your goodies to that special someone on behalf of their "secret admirer". You can send anything you want - merit badges, awardicons, gift points, cNotes, sigs, raffle tickets, auction bids, other activity participation, etc. 3. On February 14th, if you'd like, we'll reveal who each recipient's secret admirer was in this forum. Just check the appropriate box on the "Rising Stars' Secret Admirer's Club Form" so we know if we're supposed to reveal your secret identity!4. The cost for each secret admirer gift is a matching donation to the Rising Stars. Thus, if you'd like to give someone a merit badge, the cost would be 20,000 GPs (10,000 for the badge, and 10,000 to Rising Stars). Or if you'd like to send someone a c-Note that costs 1,000 GPs, the total cost of the secret admirer gift would be 2,000 GPs. Payment can be included with the submitted survey, which makes it a piece of cake! 5. Repeat as desired. You can "admire" any member of WDC, multiple members of WDC, or members of WDC multiple times. The only limit is how generous you're feeling!  6. Gift giving will end at 11:59PM WDC time on February 13th, 2010. ADDED INCENTIVES In addition to the warm fuzzy feeling you get from being someone's secret admirer and lavishing them with wonderful gifts, there's another bonus to participating in this activity. Each time you give a gift to someone through this activity, you'll be entered into a drawing, which means that doing something nice for someone else might just result in something nice for you too!
