The places in which one can find folklore |
| Here, there, and everywhere Ancient lore wanders and grows Along winding woodland paths And worn cobblestone streets Under full moon and lamplight glow With the ghost of winter moaning Though gnarled, barren branches And the pines and maples dance In many a haunted forest and glen Where stepping off the path spells doom A happy dagger hovers in an honored place In words spoken before warming fires Where tales of woe and warning Pass from one generation to next Across the centuries and ages Ghosts and spirits linger in many a hollowed hall Roaming echoes of lives lived and lost Waiting for their stories to be told Battlefields echo with the sounds of cannon fire And the smell of smoke Cities are lost beneath the waves While phantom ships haunt the oceans Doomed to never see safe harbor again And hidden treasure remains lost to the living Buried beneath the sands of time So many tales that have been told With the weight to guide their listeners If you know the places to look Such bountiful lore can easily be found Here, there, and everywhere 30 Lines |
