A song I wrote for my dad’s birthday

You stayed by my side when i was in the NICU.

6 weeks premature; your hand over me praying that I would pull through…

You repeated the words “I love you”…

I Used to have seizures, each time I did you were there in a heartbeat…

There to protect me, so i got to say;

We sat outside late at night, looking at the stars talking about our family heritage
