The end of the world
Happened by candlelight
One day nuclear war broke out

Between Russia, the US
China North Korea
South Korea, Japan

India, Pakistán
Israel and Iran

As the bombs fell
Worldwide electricity failed
Sending the world
Back to pre-industrial times

Sam Adams got out candles
Thought about the last news
He had seen
Before the EMF fried
All electrical devices

Sam Adams a professor of scifi literature
Had written a novel about post-nuclear war
And knew what needed to be done
To save the town from disaster

He was prepared for the end times
Joining his neighbors
In building Ft Ashland

As civilization collapse
People withdrew
To fortified towns
Run by warlords
