Happiness is:

Dependent on circumstances;
It doesn't always go your way.
It can also be fleeting
Even in the best of circumstances.
Happiness can be taken away with just a harsh word spoken;
Intentional or not.

This is why I prefer having peace and contentment;
You can have these things whether or not you have
Happiness.
