My baby brother and I stood there clutching a fresh-picked bundle of lilacs. Our eyes grew bigger as Mom progressed from gasping to wheezing to coughing. Tears began to flow down her cheeks.
"Allergic. Florals. Can't breathe. Out! Out!"
